How to Breathe Life into Tired Function Rooms

Saturday, June 4th, 2011

Most special occasions, whether they are wedding receptions, birthday parties or family get-togethers, will require the use of a function room to act as the host venue. Of course, function rooms host these events week-in and week-out so it is only natural that some of them can begin to look a little ‘tired’ after a few years of repeatedly hosting Bar-Mitzvahs and 18th birthday parties.  Thankfully, there are some very simple and inexpensive ways to breathe some life back into even the most fatigued of function rooms.

Stylish Accessories
The quickest, easiest and cheapest way to transform a stale function room into an attractive party venue is to wrap the chairs with specially designed covers. These stylish accessories can effortlessly change the whole ambience of any room and so make your guests feel more like they are at a special occasion rather than just another generic function room.

Coloured Sashes

Chair covers look sophisticated as they are secured to individual seats by beautifully coloured sashes. Matching the table settings of your event to the colour of your sashes can help to make your venue look even more stylish and classy.

So, whether you need wedding chair covers in Birmingham or are considering chair cover hire in London, spend some time with us here at Special Occasions Covered. With a wide range of covers and sashes available at incredibly competitive prices, we can help make sure your venue looks as special as the occasion deserves.

Our nationwide service

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010

Our website states that we are a nationwide supplier of chair covers for hire and I would just like to talk about this for a minute. Although we do not offer a nationwide fitting service, we have, and will supply, quality chair covers and sashes to any UK destination at an affordable price. We have so far this year sent our chair covers and sashes as far afield as The Isle of White, The Isle of Skye in the Scottish Outer Hebrides and even to the Shetland Islands. We have another booking for South Uist in the Scottish Outer Hebrides coming up soon.

The feedback we have received from these customers is that they found it difficult to find a chair cover hire company that would supply to these far away destinations and they were relieved and pleased that thay had found us and used our service. One thing I think is worth mentioning is that for this type of booking we will need a little bit of notice. Although the chair covers and sashes are only used for the one weekend, they take a week to arrive at the destination and a week to come back to us afterwards, so for those clients who are looking for a last minute booking in the Scottish Highlands it may be worth contacting us at least 3 weeks before your event.

Decoration is the Key to a Great Party Atmosphere

Wednesday, April 7th, 2010

People use chair covers for a couple of different reasons. They can be used to hide a shabby function room chair and make the room look sophisticated and clean, or they can simply help to tie in your colour scheme of the rest of your day. A colour scheme is often used with wedding celebration parties but could also be used in a dining room to brighten up the place and get the guests in a party mood.

Having costing options with them means that you are able to stick to your budget. Whether the party is to celebrate a wedding or somebody’s big birthday, it is really important that if you have a budget you stick to it. The chair covers can be couriered to the event with plenty of time before your guests are due to begin arriving. You can choose to either fit them yourself or have the courier do them for you.

The chair covers can be tied around the middle by a coloured sash if you wanted. Here at Special Occasions Covered we have lots of different coloured sashes to choose from and we have chair covers to suit any size of chair.

Chair covers can completely transform any room; once all the invitations have gone out and the food is ordered there are only the decorations left. Balloons and banners can only do so much but chair covers can change the whole atmosphere of the room.
