Location, Location, Location

Top of the list has to be the location. Once your venue is sorted, it’s a lot easier to source flowers, find The Dress, clarify how many guests can be invited, put together a menu etc. There are some great last minute all-inclusive deals out there in the form of cancellations. Set yourself a time limit if going down the cancellations route to make sure there’s time to pull together a plan B.

Finalise the Guest List and RSVPs

If you’re organising a last minute event, prepare to be turned down. It’s okay to press the importance of quick RSVP responses.

Prioritise the Details

The cake, dress, dinner, music, venue or car – what’s most important to your day? Our chair cover hire London to Birmingham to Glasgow is a great last minute option to stylise a last minute venue!

All About You

Never mind wedding favours for a hundred guests, a last minute celebration should be all about low-stress, personal merriment for you and your intended. Saving money with great value wedding chair covers

Friday, June 1st, 2012

If you’re planning your wedding, finances may be foremost on your mind. After all, these events don’t come cheap. It might only be by keeping a tight rein on your spending that you’re able to afford your nuptial celebrations.

Luckily, there are plenty of great offers out there when you’re looking for wedding chair covers and so on.

Underestimating the cost of major events

According to research conducted by HSBC, many consumers in the UK underestimate the costs associated with life’s big events, including weddings. It found that on average, these special occasions come to a combined total of more than £300,000. However, Brits estimate they will come to just over £178,000.

It found that people miscalculate the cost of getting married by an average of £12,000. While the typical amount of money spent on weddings is now over £20,000, most people only save around £8,000, HSBC noted.

Financial planning is important

Commenting on this issue, head of savings at HSBC Bruno Genovese said: “Life’s big events can require a substantial financial outlay and many of those who are yet to go through them are vastly underestimating the costs involved, particularly in light of the hikes to university fees and high inflation.

“Unless people are fully aware of the budgets that are needed and start saving and planning their finances early, some may have to delay these milestones.”
